The new Kingston Z features a carved mahogany body, maple burl top and matching peg head veneer; wood shells on active soap bar style pickups; a rock maple neck with either a Maple fingerboard; 3 band active electronics. Features Include: 24 medium jumbo frets. Zero fret, MTD quick release bridge, 3/4" (19mm) spacing. One-piece neck w/satin polyester finish. Carved mahogany body with maple burl top. Controls are volume, blend, treble, midrange, bass. MTD active wood covered soap bar pickups. Shielded electronics compartment. Pewter Hardware 34" scale length, Buzz Feiten tuning system.

MTD's Kingston KZ 6-string bass bass is loaded with reversed split-coil humbucking pickups wound to exacting specs attractively housed under burled maple covers. acive electronics, tuned by Michael Tobias, offer bass, mid and treble tone controls, pickup blend and master volume. All of the circuitry is tucked in a shielded body cavity to ensure an extremely low noise floor.
